Handmade Quality

Every Piya's Pots piece is individually handmade in Toronto. Because each work is shaped, glazed, and fired by hand, slight variations in colour, texture, form, and finish are natural and intentional. These details are part of what makes each piece one of a kind.

While every piece is carefully inspected before leaving the studio, the handmade ceramic process can create subtle surface variations and imperfections. These are not considered defects, but part of the character of the work.

Shipping

Orders are carefully packed to protect your piece during transit. In-stock pieces are typically prepared and shipped within 5–7 business days. You'll receive tracking information once your order is on its way.

For international orders, customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, or import fees.

Commissions

Piya's Pots accepts a limited number of commissions for custom ceramic pieces. Commissions are created in the Piya's Pots style while considering your preferred size, colour palette, function, and overall direction.

As every piece is handmade, commissioned work will not be an exact replica of an existing piece. Variations in shape, glaze, colour, texture, and finish are part of the ceramic process and make each commission unique.

Commission timelines and pricing vary depending on the scale and complexity of the piece. A deposit may be required before work begins, and commissioned pieces are final sale.

For commission inquiries, please contact hello@piyaspots.com with a brief description of what you have in mind.

Damaged Orders

Ceramics are fragile, and although every piece is packaged with care, accidents can happen in transit. If your order arrives damaged, please contact hello@piyaspots.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the piece and packaging so I can help.

Returns & Exchanges

Due to the handmade and one-of-a-kind nature of our work, all purchases are final sale and we do not accept returns or exchanges.

That said, I want you to genuinely love the piece you bring home. If you have any concerns about your purchase, please reach out to me at hello@piyaspots.com. I am always happy to have a conversation and work with you to find a solution where possible.

Caring for Your Piece

Piya's Pots pieces are made to be enjoyed, used, and lived with. With a little care, your piece can stay beautiful for years to come.

Functional pieces (including plates, bowls, cups, and dishes) are microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. However, because each piece is handmade, hand washing is recommended whenever possible to help preserve the glaze and finish over time.

When using ceramics in the oven, avoid sudden or extreme temperature changes, such as moving a cold piece directly into a hot oven.

Sculptural and decorative pieces should be handled with care and gently cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. Pieces featuring mixed materials, sculptural details, or delicate elements may have additional care instructions included in their product description.

As with all handmade ceramics, small variations and signs of use over time are part of the life and character of the piece.
