About · Artist Statement
Piya Jain is a Toronto-based sculptural artist whose work explores the space between function and sculpture.
Inspired by organic forms found in nature and the human body, she creates ceramic vessels with flowing shapes that feel both familiar and unexpected.
Each piece tells a story, drawing from personal experiences to explore memory, emotion, and human connection. Through clay, Piya transforms these stories into objects that invite reflection and encourage viewers to find their own meaning.
For her, clay is an intuitive and responsive material that continues to shape the way she creates.
